Protect against Condensation and Mould

Property Ventilation

Damage caused by damp on a wall in modern house

Without proper ventilation, an otherwise insulated and airtight house will seal in harmful pollutants, such as carbon monoxide, and damp moisture that can damage a house. Proper ventilation helps keep a home energy-efficient, safe, and healthy.

There are three effective ventilation products we install to protect against condensation and mould in the family home:

1. FlatMaster

The Flatmaster is a ventilation solution for retrofit and new build properties with no loft space. The unit is designed to take fresh air from outside, clean the air, and discharge it into the central hallway via a system of ducting. The unit is usually situated in a convenient location, such as a kitchen cupboard or hallway. The Unit is also suitable for reducing humidity levels in basements.

2. DriMaster-Eco

Drimaster-Eco Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) systems are an effective method of curing and preventing condensation dampness. Essentially the concept is to introduce fresh, filtered air into the dwelling at a continuous rate, encouraging movement of air from inside to outside. To achieve this, the unit is mounted in the loft space, drawing air through the filters and inputting it, at ceiling level, into the property. An integrated heater tempers airflow should the temperature in the loft space drop below a set point, ensuring ultimate comfort in the home.

3. MEV systems

MEV is a centralised extract system that can ventilate your entire property without the need for individual extract fans.

MEV systems are cost-effective and offer many benefits to home-owners and landlords with single let houses or houses of multiple occupation. The low-profile MEV unit can be mounted in any orientation, offering flexible, hassle-free installation. Its low-watt motors provide high-performance extract ventilation all year round.

Other benefits include:

  • Elimination of condensation dampness
  • Removal of musty odours
  • Low running costs and low-energy operation
  • Easy installation and low maintenance.
